Week 12 – Miami @ Denver: One to remember

Tony McLeod was at Mile High on a cold Sunday in Denver, as the Broncos and Miami Dolphins played one of the most important – and competitive – games of the season.

About

Tony McLeod grew up in Melbourne, lives in Canberra and is spending 6 months in Colorado in 2014 where he is trying to get to as many Denver Broncos and University of Colorado Buffaloes games as possible. He is part of the generation introduced to the game by Don Lane via his elder brother.

Week 10 – Denver @ Oakland: Hello 0-9

Greg McLeod is finding it harder and harder to write about his Oakland Raiders. They’re now 0-9, with just seven more chances to get that elusive first win.

About

Melbourne, Australia based NFL fan (real and fantasy). First memory of the NFL is Super Bowl XVI (49ers v Bengals) in 1982. For reasons that cannot be recalled now, commenced following the Oakland Raiders at that time. Has seen two American football games live: December 1985 UTEP v Wyoming at Waverley Park and 2013 at Melbourne University.

Week 9 – Denver @ New England: Brady wins this round

New England fan Sam Wilkinson woke up early to check the weather in Foxborough, and when he saw it was cold and snowy, he had a good feeling about his Patriots.

About

Sam Wilkinson lives in Melbourne, Australia. His appreciation for the New England Patriots sees him awake at some ridiculous hours just to catch their game. Like all Pats fans, he refuses to admit that one day Tom Brady will get old and have to retire.

Week 8 – San Diego @ Denver: Broncos back up after half a week

A few days after witnessing Peyton Manning set the all-time NFL touchdowns record, Tony McLeod was back at Mile High watching the Denver Broncos take on division rivals San Diego.

Week 7 – San Francisco @ Denver: A record for the ages

49ers fan Josh Slocum watches a record-setting performance by Peyton Manning and wonders if Colin Kaepernick will ever reach a similar elite status.

About Josh Slocum

Born into the red and white of the South Melbourne Swans, I remember being amazed at age 7 to see a team with our colours that actually won something when the 1984 49ers won the Superbowl. I’ve been following the red, white and gold ever since. Of recent times my frustrations at not winning a Superbowl since 1994 can be heard occasionally on the aussieguysnfl podcast.

Week 5 – Arizona @ Denver: Peyton Manning holds court

Tony McLeod takes in a game in the Mile High city, enjoys a stellar performance by Denver’s Peyton Manning and worries about the structural soundness of the stadium once it gets rocking.

Week 2 – Kansas City @ Denver: Mile High in London Town

Vicky T, a Colorado resident and Broncos’ fan now in London, stays up late to watch her team play for the first time since the Super Bowl loss to Seattle.

Week 1 – Indianapolis @ Denver: Horse Latitudes

Last February, Ed Wyatt’s Broncos lost to Seattle, a team loved by his friends and family. This week, the Broncos kicked off the new season against the franchise Ed supported as a boy.

About Ed Wyatt

Ed Wyatt grew up in Halfway, Maryland, following the Baltimore Colts like his football coach father. When he lost his Bert Jones #7 jersey at the Lincolnshire Elementary School playground, he should have taken it as an omen, since the Colts left Baltimore for Indianapolis. Ed has managed to avoid full time work by talking on the radio, smiling on the television and tapping on the keyboard of his computer. He won a number of local Emmy awards with the Seattle-based comedy show Almost Live! and hosted the Super Bowl live on Australian television for nine years. He is a graduate of Stanford University.
